FAQs

Walking Gait Too?

Absolutely! During a gait analysis, we can evaluate the way a person walks. This includes factors like stride length, step width, foot placement, and overall movement patterns. Which can be useful for improving movement efficiency, diagnosing musculoskeletal problems, or enhancing athletic performance.

What does it Involve?

This involves having you run/walk on a treadmill for approx. one minute while recording video footage from various angles. This allows us to capture your stride length, foot strike pattern, cadence, and overall movement efficiency. By analysing this footage, we can identify any issues with your technique and provide recommendations to optimise your running/walking form, prevent injuries, and improve performance.

What to Wear /What to Bring?

It’s best to wear comfortable athletic clothing and running shoes that you typically use for running. Bring any relevant information about past injuries or conditions that may affect your gait. Additionally, if you have orthotics or any other specialised equipment you use while running or walking, bring those along as well.

Why should I have it / Benefits?

Having a gait analysis offers several benefits:

Injury Prevention

Performance Optimisation

Personalised Recommendations

Rehabilitation

Health Monitoring

Overall, a gait analysis can help you move more efficiently, reduce the risk of injury and enhance your overall physical performance and well-being.
